Paying Attention

Today was a day filled with lots of movement and excitement.  What struck me the most was the unevitable fact that it is winter time.  But somehow the weather is not so proving of this fact.  Is anyone else a little worried that there are a few stragglers out there still wearing flip flops?  Well I sure am and it is definately November the last time I checked.  Yup still November.

Normally around this time people are heavily secured within their winter coats and are looking foward to the comfort of family time and all the warmth it brings.  To my surprise, this is not the case.  Here I am walking to my classes in a hoodie, or a light jacket.  That scares me a little.  So much for having snow on the ground by Christmas time.  The leaves are all gone, or at least in the process of shaking off their last layer of shade, and there is no white layer on the ground to tag along.  Global Warming in effect?  I think so.  Whatever the reason I have my plane ticket handy to head straight to the Caribbean.

  1. It's very difficult for me to not put on my summer shoes and walk around campus. The only thing holding me back is the fact that it is mid November and it is not right!

  2. I'll still wear mine during the day around the house or if I have to make a quit run to the store. Common sense says you can't wear them all day. It bothers me to see them on campus at 5pm walking around in flip flops. That's a good way to get sick by 5pm it has gotten chilly out.

  3. I know for a fact that I cannot stand for my toes to be cold. I may not wear two pairs of socks when it's 50 degrees out, but I can guarantee you that I will not be wearing flip flops. Its mild but not warm outside.
